What I do now
I work on the core of a generative-engine optimization platform: it shows brands how their content surfaces in the answers of AI engines — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity — and helps them improve it. My part is the optimization engine itself: routing each request to the cheapest engine that can answer it, caching what has already been crawled, and tracing every model call so cost belongs to a feature rather than to a monthly invoice. It is a TypeScript monorepo built with Bun, and I work across all of it.
How I got here
Six years, five industries, one language. I started on my own in e-commerce, integrating storefronts with a central CRM and building the mobile app that went with it. Four years at Incora followed: healthcare — patient management, D3 clinical reports, real-time dashboards in Three.js — then security, where I worked on back-end microservices analysing server hardware data, and one education platform. Since December 2025 I have been on the AI side of marketing. All of it services work, which is the reason I am looking at product companies now.
How I work
I work as an independent contractor from Lviv, Ukraine (UTC+2/+3), either on a direct contract or through an employer of record. My hours overlap fully with European and UK teams, and cover US East Coast mornings through roughly 1pm ET. Remote, or hybrid within Lviv. Notice period is two to six weeks.
What I'm looking for
Three things, and they are closer to one thing than they look.
I want to own a feature end to end rather than take a ticket inside one layer. I want to stay on a product long enough to fix my own mistakes rather than hand them over at the end of an engagement. And I want to see how what I shipped is actually used.
Where I'm not a fit
Roles that require relocation. I am not moving.
Roles where compensation is not discussed until the final round.
Roles with regular working hours past 8pm Kyiv time — which rules out most of the US West Coast, and afternoon-heavy US East Coast teams.
